Welcome to my first post. l’m super excited to be sharing this journey with you, and even more excited that you are reading it! l am Dr. Thulani Ndlovu (Dr. Thulz), founder of Nutith Dental Clinic and author of Teeth Matters With Dr Thulz. l have been wanting to start this blog for months. l’m passionate about educating people and sharing knowledge, especially about dentistry related stuff and oral hygiene in general. Since this is my first post, I’m gonna tell you about me and what you can expect to see here.

Let me introduce myself…
Like most of you reading this, l grew up in a township ( Soshanguve, Pretoria). l obtained my Bachelor Of Dental Surgery at Sefako Makgatho Health Sciences University in 2020. l went on to do my Community Service Program in Rusternburg, more like internship. It kind of gave me confidence and a bit of independence when operating on the dental chair.
Funny enough, l had never visited a Dentist until i was in my 3rd year of varsity. l literally had no idea who they were or what they did, except that they took teeth out….painfully so. That’s one of the misconceptions and narratives l hope to change about Dentistry. Most people lack oral health education and by the time they seek help their teeth would already be in an incurable state.
l am a General Dentist with interest in Orthodontics and im currently running my own practice in Melrose Crossing, Sandton. l decided to further my studies immediately after my community service ended, and l’m currently enrolled for Masters in Dental Sciences in Oral Pathology. One of the reasons l enjoy doing this for a living is the great communication skills l have with my clients and we relate on so many levels, since the majority of them are my age mates. I’m here to educate and offer quality, affordable dentistry.
What this blog is all about
l’ll basically be posting every week about dentistry related topics from basic oral hygiene habits to dietary habits and their effect on the health of your teeth. My goal for this site is for all my readers to find inspiration to take better care of their teeth and general health. l’ll discuss some of the procedures that we do to create beautiful smiles, ensuring you that not all hope is lost – you too can still get a smile makeover!
More than anything, l look forward to hearing your feedback and exchanging knowledge. Thank you so much for taking your time to check this out.
